This weekend, April 21-23, the CSA is hosting the Futsal Canadian Championship in Kingston at the Queen's ARC (284 Earl St) and live via CanadaSoccer.com
Kyt Selaidopoulos, the Canadian national team coach of futsal and beach soccer will be in attendance for the entire weekend and willing to have discussions about the future of futsal with all who are interested:
After the great news we got about the World Cup bid for 2026, let's get all get behind the last event of the year for futsal. Nationals are this weekend, lets all get behind the 3 provinces participating. If you guys could share the schedule on social media to help our sport grow it would be great visibility, especially after this unbelievable year we just had.
Here are some of our achievements from the last year when, one year ago, we stepped on the court in Costa Rica to start our run
for the World Cup, and since then we have made tremendous progress:
- 1 point away from qualifying for the World Cup
- Golden boot award
- 7 Pro contracts
- CSA AND 6 provinces banking on our Futsal program
- 3 players playing in this year's Futsal Canadian Championship
- 3 provinces participating at the Futsal Canadian Championship
I will be running a clinic with youth
on saturday April 22 at 2pm-315pm, and will be available all weekend for discussions about the future of
futsal. Coaches, please join me on the court and help out and discuss
futsal technical,plans and any questions you guys have.

Saturday 22 April 2017
- 11.00 ET: Futsal Club Toronto (ON) vs. Olimpia SK FC (SK)
- 14.00 ET: Youth Futsal Clinic
- 18.00 ET: Olimpia SK FC (SK) vs. Sporting Outlaws FC (QC)
Sunday 23 April 2017
- 12.00 ET: Championship Match 1st Place Round Robin vs. 2nd Place Round Robin
- 14.00 ET: Awards Ceremony
